We had a very special and memorable day with our beloved preschool children on March 31, 2025. Through interactive applications developed by researchers and students of GET Lab, under the supervision of our coordinator, the children had the opportunity to virtually explore a three-dimensional representation of Choirokoitia and to animate 3D characters dancing in real time within a virtual playground—choreographies that the children themselves created spontaneously during the session.
The demonstrations took place at the “Nerompogies kai Xromata” nursery school and were conducted by the lab’s research affiliate, Dr. Christos Kyrlitsias, together with our coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Despina Michael-Grigoriou. Our team also had the chance to discuss potential avenues for collaboration with the school’s management, focusing on societal contribution and the active engagement of children through the integration of Virtual Reality and interactive technologies.
