A new EC funded project under Horizon-Europe MSCA scheme for GET Lab

A new European project for our lab entitled “Restorative Effects of Haptic and Visual Sensory Supplementation of Nature Sounds in VR of Nature for Deaf people”, with the acronym ReSens-Nature, begun in September 2024. The ReSens-Nature project aims to investigate the impact of nature sounds within Virtual Environments on people with hearing impairments in a very innovative way.

The project ReSens-Nature will be implemented by the postdoctoral fellow Dr Georgios Stavrinos, under the supervision of our lab’s coordinator, Assoc. Professor Despina Michael-Grigoriou. The project is hosted by GET Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology.

The proposal, under the high completive scheme MSCA Postdoctoral fellowships, evaluated by the EC and marked with the impressive score of 96%! ReSens-Nature has a duration of two years and a total budget of about 148K euros.
