VR-teacher: A new research project for GET Lab

We are proud to announce the beginning of the VRTEACHER project that is funded under the Erasmus+ programme. The official kick-off meeting of the project was held online on 9 and 10 June 2021. The VRTEACHER project aims to empower the personal and professional development of educators/teachers through a novel Virtual Reality (VR) based approach and tool. 6 partners from 5 countries joined online for a productive and fruitful meeting, brainstorming on the next steps of the project.

The VRTEACHER project has the ambition to provide effective education responses related to educators’ training via using a novel Virtual Reality based pedagogical approach for virtual practicum. The main target groups of the VRTEACHER project are pre-service student teachers, and in-service educators/teachers.

The VRTEACHER project is funded under Key Action 2 of the Erasmus+ program and will last 2 years (01/06/202131/05/2023).

The project involves six partners, Cyprus University of Technology / Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου (Cyprus / Coordinator), Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου (Greece), Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain), Fundación Siglo22 (Spain), Future in Perspective Ltd (Ireland), 3CL Foundation (Malta).

GET Lab is a proud member of this consortium. Our lab is responsible for the development of VR applications related to this project.
