GET Lab participated at the Womenpower Symposium 2016 which took place on 16th of November 2016 in Limassol, Cyprus.
Womenpower Symposium 2016 aimed to provide a network where young women receive support and guidance concerning self-improvement, increasing their self-esteem, personal and social power, and solidarity.
There was also a panel discussion, mentoring and training sessions to discuss current research trends, skills, and career choices for women in computing. While all presenters were female, all genders were invited to attend.
GET Lab’s PhD candidate Maria Christofi presented a poster named “The effect of the appearance of our self-representation in a virtual world on our behavior: a survey”.
