PhD Fellowships on VR for Well Being at RISE

PhD Fellowships at RISE with a placement at MIRALab (University of Geneva) on VR for Well Being.

The Research Centre on Interactive Media, Smart System and Emerging Technologies (RISE) in Nicosia, Cyprus (rise.org.cy), announces five (5) PhD Fellowships under various Multidisciplinary Research Groups (MRGs): http://www.rise.org.cy/en-gb/media/news/announcement-of-rise-phd-fellowships/

The opening includes topics on VR for Well-Being:

  • VR-based motor rehabilitation with smart progress monitoring (Topic 7)
  • VR-based mental / social well-being and assessment through bio-measurements (Topic 8)

The successful candidates of the above topics:

  • will be assigned to the Research Centre’s ‘Virtual Reality for Well Being’ MRG, (http://www.rise.org.cy/en-gb/research/research-groups/virtual-reality-for-well-being/), lead by Dr Despina Michael-Grigoriou
  • will be able to attend the Research Centre’s Doctoral Training Program
  • will be based at the Research Centre (Cyprus) and registered at the Cyprus University of Technology
  • will have a placement at the MIRALab (www.miralab.ch), at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), directed by Prof. Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann
